Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa: A man and a state-builder

Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa:

 A man and a state-builder

The book, published in a bilingual volume combining both English and Arabic, explores the life of one of Bahrain’s leading figures; Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. During a half-century at the forefront of Bahraini politics, he has worked alongside both late ruler Emir Issa bin Salman and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Issa to guide the country through an important periods in its history.

Through these efforts, Bahrain has emerged as a constitutional monarchy dedicated to reform, enjoying rapid rates of economic growth and human development.

The leadership provided by Prince Khalifa, in the face of frequent challenges and limited resources, has been recognised nationally and internationally, granting him decorations; and creating an award in his name under the auspices of the UN-HABITAT programme.

It is hoped that the example offered by Prince Khalifa will be an inspiration to the young people of Bahrain and the Arab world. The book should also be of interest to researchers  and politicians concerned with the past, present or future of Bahrain.
